Hopefully I'll be of some help in this process, but the truth is that I'm here to learn. I've been working with the LaGuardia Center for Teching and Learning for over five years, and it is really exciting to see faculty coming together of their own initiative to create a project like this cohort!
There are some technical things I'd like to accomplish here...like getting and sending feeds from this blog, and maybe even overcoming my aversion to twitter. Nothing against it per se but I fear that it will be another draw on my already-distracted mind. Speaking of which, yesterday on diigo, a fantastic tool Prof. X turned us on to for sharing and annotating sites, someone from the EdTechCrew linked to a Stanford study showing abysmal results for the effectiveness of multitasking.
I'm also part of a small group (with librarians Steve Ovadia and Ann Matsuuchi) researching the current state of copyright practice for higher ed and creative commons resources. I have another professional interest in these resources as an artist in my non-lagcc life. This might be a good venue for sharing some of the resources we find.
